Finish
Limewash is one of the oldest wall finishes in the world — and one of the most beautiful. Applied in thin, translucent coats, it builds a layered, slightly uneven patina that deepens and softens over time. The matte finish is completely breathable and available in a near-unlimited palette of earth pigment tones.

Limewash is applied with a wide brush in deliberately uneven, overlapping strokes. The natural variation in coverage is intentional — it's what gives the finish its aged, organic quality. The effect is somewhere between paint and plaster: more depth than paint, more softness than polished plaster.
We mix our limewash colorways in-house from natural earth pigments. The palette is vast — warm ivories, terracottas, ochres, slate greys, and near-blacks — and we can develop a custom tone to match any design reference.
Limewash is an excellent choice for older buildings and renovation projects because it's highly breathable. It allows moisture to move through the wall rather than trapping it — important in masonry buildings and any space with humidity.
